I wrote “Lonely Girl” after reading the memoir Nobody’s Girl by Virginia Roberts Giuffre, published posthumously in 2025. Her courage in speaking out about abuse helped bring global attention to one of the most disturbing scandals of our time. This song is not about headlines or sensationalism. It reflects something deeper — how childhood trauma can quietly shape a life, often unseen by others.
